About the project
This is a centralized digital system for managing operations across Iraq's correctional facilities and prisons. It is built on a modular structure (Modules → Tabs → Pages) designed according to the requirements of Iraq's Directorate of Reform. The system manages complete inmate data, including biometric and legal information. It provides electronic archiving for prisoners and detainees, replacing paper-based files. It manages the transfer of files between departments within the correctional system. It generates advanced reports and statistics for oversight and planning. It integrates via API with judicial and health systems to keep records synchronized across institutions. The database is encrypted and secured, given the sensitivity of the information it holds, and it covers the full population of Iraq's prisons along with an administrative dashboard for Directorate of Reform staff.
Use case
Before this system, prisoner records across correctional facilities were largely paper-based, making it difficult to track inmates, transfer files between departments, or maintain accurate biometric and legal records. This created risks around data security, record loss, and slow coordination between facilities and judicial or health authorities. The system digitizes and centralizes all of this — inmate records, biometric data, file transfers, and inter-agency integration — within a secured, encrypted database. This gives the Directorate of Reform accurate, real-time records, faster inter-departmental coordination, and stronger protection of sensitive data.
