About the project
This is an integrated system (web platform plus mobile app) for tracking pharmaceutical movement within Kimadia's warehouses. It follows medicines from the point of import at the border all the way to the end user. It tracks the complete supply chain across every stage of the process. It publishes tenders and reference pricing for pharmaceutical procurement. It announces tender award results to participating companies. It monitors shipment status released, arrived, or in surplus at each stage. It includes a field mobile app with barcode scanning for on-the-ground tracking. It also allows companies to follow their tenders directly through the platform, covering an unlimited number of medicines and contracts managed by Kimadia staff.
Use case
Before this system, tracking pharmaceutical movement from import to end delivery relied on manual coordination across Kimadia's warehouses, making it hard to monitor shipment status or ensure procurement transparency. This created risks of delays, limited visibility into stock movement, and reduced transparency in government pharmaceutical procurement. The system solves this by digitizing the full supply chain from tender publication to barcode-based field tracking in one integrated platform. This strengthens transparency in government pharmaceutical purchasing and gives Kimadia real-time visibility into medicine movement nationwide.
